This community is about helping each other, without overextending ourselves either. This community is NOT about profiting off of our neighbors. Instead, it is about helping each other in times of need. You can:

*offer items to others that would go to waste in your own home;

*offer your services at a free or dirt-cheap price (i.e., giving rides, budget counseling, lawn service, announcing a garage sale, etc.)

*requesting assistance in times of need (i.e., car troubles and you can't get to work; pet sitting when a family member is in the hospital, etc.)

The community is limited to a geographical area close to all of us. Each neighbor that joins will have a background check completed by the host of this community group. A criminal record does not mean a neighbor will be denied by default. All neighbors deserve support. However, it may limit the spaces you are given access to (i.e., pet sitting or requesting in-home assistance).

Neighbors on the sex-offender registry will be denied. For those who were wrongly convicted, I sincerely apologize for this rule. This group is about the safety and support of the community at large, and this is one clear measure that can be implemented to likely better protect our neighbors.

The host will monitor this community group to ensure compliance and safety, to minimize risk as best as possible. Participating in this group is ultimately at our own risk.
